Marinate chicken in yogurt and tikka masala blend for at least 2 hours. Grill or broil until charred.
Melt butter in a large pan. Sauté onion until golden, 10 minutes. Add garlic and ginger, cook 2 minutes.
Add paprika and cumin, stir 1 minute. Add crushed tomatoes and simmer 15 minutes until thick.
Blend sauce until smooth if desired. Add cream and garam masala. Simmer 5 minutes.
Add grilled chicken to sauce. Simmer 10 minutes for flavors to meld.
Garnish with cilantro and serve with warm naan or basmati rice.
