  • 200g ladyfinger biscuits
  • 300ml strong espresso, cooled
  • 3 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)
  • For mascarpone cream: 500g mascarpone, 4 egg yolks, 100g sugar, 200ml heavy cream
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

    Beat egg yolks with sugar until pale and thick. Fold in mascarpone.

    Whip cream to soft peaks. Fold into mascarpone mixture.

    Mix espresso with coffee liqueur.

    Quickly dip ladyfingers in espresso (1-2 seconds each — don't soak).

    Layer in glasses: ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, ladyfingers, cream.

    Refrigerate at least 4 hours.

    Dust generously with cocoa before serving.
